Police detain felon in driveway holdup

A man followed a Little Rock woman home and robbed her at gunpoint over an unpaid debt Thursday, police reported.

Stephanie Hobbs, 40, said she pulled into her driveway at 11 Clifton Drive about 4:45 p.m. and was confronted by Morris Washington Worsham, according to a police report. She said Worsham, 40, threatened her with a pistol and took her purse. Worsham said Hobbs owed him money from a business venture, the report states.

Hobbs went to a police station and reported the holdup.

Officers later stopped Worsham in a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban at 8824 Geyer Springs Road, the report said.

Police said they found a Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum handgun in the vehicle and marijuana in Worsham's pocket.

Worsham, a felon, was charged with aggravated robbery, possession of a firearm by certain persons and possession of a controlled substance. He'd been wanted on charges of failure to appear in a separate case.

Worsham was being held in the Pulaski County jail Friday.

Gunman grabs cash from pharmacy till

Police were investigating an armed robbery at a Little Rock pharmacy Tuesday.

Officers responded about 5:25 a.m. to Walgreens at 111 N. Bowman Road. An employee, Michael Brodie, 22, said a man had walked into the business and asked to buy a pack of gum, according to a police report. When Brodie opened the cash register, the man pulled out a handgun and demanded money.

The robber took an unknown amount of cash and fled on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Police searched the area but made no arrests.

The robber is described as black, 5-foot-7, 130 pounds, and in his late twenties or early thirties. He wore a Chicago Bulls jacket, black hat, black pants, white shirt and white shoes. The man had a cross tattoo between his eyes, the report states.

NLR man arrested in church break-in

A North Little Rock man is accused of stealing two televisions from a church and then selling both on the street, a police report said.

North Little Rock police said that sometime between 5 p.m. Dec. 18 and 7 a.m. Dec. 20, Kenneth Johnson, 19, pried open a door and went inside the Korean Grace Church of Arkansas, 1800 Maple St., and stole a TV. He later returned with a friend and stole another TV.

Johnson told police he sold both TVs "on the street," the report said.

Johnson was arrested Thursday morning and booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of commercial burglary and theft of property. He was listed on the jail's roster Friday afternoon.

Worker at airport arrested in theft

An employee at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field was arrested Friday after police said she stole money from her employer.

A police report said Laura Scales, 32, of Little Rock was arrested in the theft of $1,488 from the airport. The report did not say what Scales' job was at the airport.

Little Rock police arrested Scales at the airport, 1 Airport Drive, at 2:30 p.m. She was booked into the Pulaski County jail on a theft of property charge. She was not listed on the jail's roster Friday night.
