'Moonlight' at Murry's

It's 1939 and producer David O. Selznick (director Don Bolinger) has a cast in place and cameras are rolling on Gone With the Wind. There's just one problem -- he doesn't have a script. That's the basis behind the comedy Moonlight and Magnolias, Tuesday-Feb. 6 at Murry's Dinner Playhouse, 6323 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock.

Roger M. Eaves plays screenwriter Ben Hecht, with Jeff Bailey as director Victor Fleming and Brooke Wallace as Miss Poppenghul.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday (12:45 Wednesday matinees only Jan. 13, 20 and 27), 12:45 and 6:45 p.m. Sunday. Buffet opens 90 minutes before curtain. Tickets are $32-$36, $23 for children 15 and under; $25 and $15 show only. Call (501) 562-3131 or visit murrysdp.com.

Artist residencies

A panel will convene in February to select artists for May, July and September appointments, two to four weeks in length. The three artists will be registered as National Park Service volunteers and will not receive financial compensation; however, they will have free use of the historic cabin at Gulpha Gorge Campground in exchange for providing a minimum of two public programs through formal or informal demonstrations, workshops, lectures or other public events and donating an original artwork to the park's permanent collection.

For an application packet, call (501) 620-6703 or email brian_schwieger@nps.gov. Additional information is available online at nps.gov/hosp/supportyourpark.
