A 33-year-old man was struck and killed trying to cross Interstate 530 in Pulaski County Tuesday night, police said.
The man, identified as Jason Boswell of Ward, was hit around 9:30 p.m. by a Honda traveling north near the Dixon Road on-ramp, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
Boswell died at the scene and the driver of the Honda was not reported to have been injured.
Police reported the road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident.
It was the 11th fatality reported on Arkansas roads in 2016 and the second pedestrian fatally struck in as many days. A 71-year-old woman died when she was hit by a vehicle while crossing U.S. 67 in Lonoke County on Monday.
