Bogus buyers rob car-selling couple

A couple selling their car in Little Rock were robbed at gunpoint by men posing as buyers Tuesday, according to police.

Lahronda Davis, 44, and Johnny Moore Sr., 47, said they met two men at a Shell gas station at 700 E. Roosevelt Road at 11:05 p.m., a police report states. A mutual acquaintance known as "Lil' Mike" had arranged the meeting after the men said they were interested in buying the Lincoln from the couple.

But the men held Davis and Moore at gunpoint, struck Moore in the head and demanded the car, according to the report. The men took keys, a purse and a wallet from the couple and "rapidly" fled when Davis began "screaming for Jesus," the report states.

The robbers were last seen driving a maroon Chevrolet Impala. They're both described as black and between the ages of 18 and 20. One was said to stand 5-foot-1 and weigh 130 pounds; the other was taller and appeared to weigh 200 pounds, according to police.
