What does it do: This strange-looking bulb can be dimmed in standard light fixtures with regular switches. Once the bulb is in the fixture, turn on and quickly flick the switch off and on to start dimming the light. Flick the switch off and on again when the light output is as desired. The company says the bulb is energy-efficient with an expected life span of 27 1/2 years. It sells for $39.99.

What does it do: These wipes are durable and absorbent and fit most brand-name sweepers. Use dry to dust floors of crumbs and lint or use with water or cleaner for a deep clean. Can be used on tile, sealed stone and wood floors. The wipes are bleach-free, nontoxic and fragrance free. The floor wipes are 8.66 by 11 inches and sell for $15.95 for a box of 100.
