Arkansas doesn't have any former players in this year's Super Bowl, but there are some ties to the Razorbacks in the game between the Broncos and Panthers.

Former Arkansas defensive coordinator Reggie Herring is in his first season as Denver's linebackers coach. Herring has been in the NFL since he last coached Arkansas as interim head coach in the 2008 Cotton Bowl.

Herring's NFL stint has also included time with the Cowboys, Texans and Bears.

He was the Razorbacks' defensive coordinator from 2005-07.

Cam Jefferson, who spent one season at Arkansas as an offensive lineman, is on the Broncos' practice squad. Cobi Hamilton, a former Razorbacks standout wide receiver, was signed last week to a futures contract by the Panthers.

This is the first time in seven years that Arkansas doesn't have at least one former player in the Super Bowl. The Razorbacks and Vanderbilt are the only SEC programs without a former player in this year's game.
