— Arkansas will hang a banner in recognition of former basketball coach Eddie Sutton during a ceremony next month.

The banner with Sutton's name will be raised during the Razorbacks' game against Missouri on Saturday, Feb. 20, at Bud Walton Arena. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Sutton, 79, spent 11 seasons as Arkansas' coach from 1974-85.

He won 260 games and five Southwest Conference championships with the Razorbacks, and had a .776 winning percentage. In 1978, Sutton coached the Razorbacks to the Final Four.

Sutton left Arkansas for Kentucky and later spent 17 seasons as head coach at Oklahoma State. In 2005, the court at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma, was named for Sutton.

It will be the fourth time that Arkansas has honored a former men's basketball player or coach with a banner at Bud Walton Arena. Former coach Nolan Richardson and players Sidney Moncrief and Corliss Williamson had banners raised in ceremonies last year.
