Bill Cherry, Jay Dupuis and Dean Z, all finalists and/or champions from Elvis Presley Enterprises' annual worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artists Contest in Memphis, will take the audience on a musical journey through the life of the King of Rock 'n' Roll in Elvis Lives!, onstage at 7:30 p.m. today in the Donald W. Play premiere

The Studio Theatre, 320 W. Seventh St., Little Rock, will host the world premiere production of The Lobby Bar: A Play by John Timaeus, 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. The play, Timaeus' first, which he is also producing, is a dark comedy revolving around the people in a volunteer live theater and its attached bar.

Timaeus has lived in Little Rock since 2002, and describes himself as "a hanger-on in the local theater scene"; he is secretary of the board of the Studio Theatre and has appeared on stage only once since college, in Community Theatre of Little Rock's production of Private Wars.

The cast: Michael Harmon as Mark, Dale Ellis as Jack, Gabi Baltzley as Maggie, Pamela Milum as Brittany, Greg Warner as Trevor, Ethan Patterson as Robert, Madison Wolff as Caroline, Tommie Tinker as Bob, Kristian Martin as the Director and Victor Basco as BoyToy. The show contains explicit language and depictions and is not recommended for those under 17.

Tickets are $15 in advance (eventbrite.com), $20 at the door, with discounts for students, senior citizens, active military members and veterans. All profits benefit the Studio Theatre. Call (214) 738-0332.

Organist rescheduled

Organist Jason A. Pennington has rescheduled his memorial concert for Dr. Steven Kemp, titled "Prisms," postponed because of snow, for 7 p.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4106 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock. Pennington will premiere Kemp's three Dance Suites and perform works by J.S. Bach, Max Reger and Dietrich Buxtehude. Admission is free; donations to Arkansas Children's Hospital will be accepted. A meet-the-artist reception will follow in the parish hall. Call (501) 753-4281.

Turandot in HD

The Breckenridge Village 12 and Colonel Glenn 18 in Little Rock and the Tinseltown in Benton will screen the Metropolitan Opera's "Met Live in HD" cinecast of Giacomo Puccini's final opera, Turandot, at 11:55 a.m. Saturday. Swedish soprano Nina Stemme makes her Met debut as the icy title Chinese princess, with tenor Marco Berti as Calaf, the suitor who risks his life for Turandot's hand.
