1 CONSOMME

For the 35th year, Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families will ladle up warm, tasty treats at Soup Sunday, 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Statehouse Convention Center, 101 E. Markham St., Little Rock. Chefs from 35 restaurants will serve up their best samples of soup, bread and dessert. For the first time, they'll also have a live auction. 2 CRUISE

Get up close and personal with birds of prey at DeGray Lake Resort State Park's Eagles Et Cetera, Friday-Sunday. This is the 37th year for the celebration, which includes guided boat tours, hikes, a birds of prey show and a live falconry hunt. 3 CLOCKS

Time is frozen and a prince must tackle a seemingly impossible task to rescue his lady love in The 13 Clocks. The latest production at the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre, East Ninth and Commerce streets, Little Rock, will run Friday-Feb. 14. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, and tickets are $12.50, $10 for AAC members and groups of 10 or more. Children age 2 and under are free. 4 CONCERTO

Concertmaster Kiril Laskarov will solo in the Violin Concerto in e minor by Felix Mendelssohn with his musical mates in the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at Maumelle Performing Arts Center, Maumelle High School, 100 Victory Lane, Maumelle. The program will also include the Overture from Gioacchino Rossini's opera La Gazza Ladra (The Thieving Magpie); Black Bend by ASO Composer of the Year Dan Visconti; and the 1919 Suite from The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky. The Arkansas Symphony Youth Ensembles -- Preparatory, Prelude and Academy orchestras -- follow the professional players at 6 p.m. Sunday with a midwinter concert at Maumelle Performing Arts Center. Eat chocolate for charity as Cooperative Christian Ministries and Clinic holds its 12th annual Chocolate Festival, 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 400 Convention Blvd., Hot Springs. As of press time, 16 vendors -- local restaurants and professional and amateur chocolatiers -- set up booths and enter their confections in a competition; judges will weigh presentation and taste, and there's also a people's choice award. The event also features a silent auction, face painting, door prizes and entertainment.
