Matthews, 40, was arrested in connection with first-degree murder, according to the report. He was being held at the Washington County Detention Center with no bond set.

Police went to the house at 764 N. 54th Ave. about 1 p.m. They found a man lying on his back, unresponsive, in the driveway, according to a preliminary arrest report.
