A Springdale man broke into several houses and assaulted a woman in one and a 12-year-old girl in the other, according to a preliminary arrest report released Friday by the Springdale Police Department.

Joab Job, 21, was arrested in connection with aggravated residential burglary, residential burglary, fourth-degree sexual assault, terroristic threatening, third-degree battery and theft of property, according to Washington County jail records. He was being held in the jail Friday with no bonds set.

Job may have been involved in other burglaries near the school that haven't been reported, according to a news release from Springdale police. Anyone with information on burglaries that haven't been reported should call investigators at 479-750-3189, the news release stated.

Job was questioned after a man and woman told police that a man broke into their house on Tucson Loop near Bayyari Elementary School, according to the report. The woman woke up with a man holding her hands and covering her mouth, and he told her twice that he was going to kill her, the report stated.

The woman's hand was cut during the incident, the report stated.

Police arrested Job, who lived nearby, on unrelated warrants, according to the report. During questioning, Job admitted to investigators that he had broken into several houses and said he had accidentally cut the woman's hand, the report stated.

He also said he broke into a residence with a girl inside, according to the report.

The girl told investigators that a man identified as Job "got on top of her" in "a sexual manner," the report stated. Job denied that accusation and said he got scared and left the house, according to the report.

Job was being held in the jail Friday with no bond set.
