Former Razorback Joe Johnson reportedly agreed to a two-year, $22 million deal with the Utah Jazz early Saturday morning.

The Jazz will be the sixth franchise Johnson has played for entering the 16th year of his pro career but his third team since February, when he and the Brooklyn Nets agreed on a buyout, which allowed him to finish the season with the Miami Heat. The new deal with the Jazz, first reported by Turner Sports, will become official when Johnson signs July 7 following the NBA’s free agency moratorium period.

Johnson, a Little Rock native, played two years at Arkansas and was All-SEC as a sophomore before turning pro and being selected No. 10 overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2001 NBA Draft.

In all likelihood, the 6-foot-7, 240-pound small forward will be a rotation player off the bench for the up-and-coming Jazz. Last year, he averaged 12.2 points, 3.9 assists and 3.6 rebounds for the Nets and Heat, the latter of which he helped win a playoff series.

Johnson is a seven-time NBA all-star with career averages of 16.9 points, 4.2 assists and 4.1 rebounds. He averaged more than 20 points per game from 2006 to 2010.

In 2010, he signed a six-year, $123.7 million extension with the Atlanta Hawks which made him the highest-paid player in the NBA at the time.
