What's to love: A small insect zapper that is portable and rechargeable.
What does it do: The lantern uses black UV light, which the company says eliminates up to 40 percent more flying insects than comparable products that use white UV light. It also comes with a scented lure to attract mosquitoes. It covers about 625 square feet, which is great for a patio or campsite. It runs for 3 1/2 hours on a charge. The zapper sells for $29.99.
Scotts Weeds Out
What's to love: A garden tool that helps pull weeds without having to bend over or kneel.
What does it do: The 38-inch-long tool has three stainless-steel prongs on the business end which are inserted over the top of a weed. Just twist, pull and the weed comes out, roots and all. On the handle end is a plunger that, when pushed, removes the weed from the prongs. The Weeds Out sells for $19.99. The company also makes a heavy-duty version with an aluminum body (instead of plastic), which sells for $39.99.
