Police: Fight over stained shirt led to shooting near west Little Rock shopping center

Police said a dispute over a stained shirt led to a shooting Monday near a west Little Rock shopping center.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, the victim, 38-year-old David Williams, was shot in his left shin shortly after noon Monday near Bowman and Mara Lynn roads.

Williams told investigators that 39-year-old Izishill Porch shot him after Porch's 20-year-old son, Darius, "accused [Williams] of staining his shirt," the report said.

"Mr. Williams advised [Izishill Porch, his son and a minor] confronted him about the stained shirt at his apartment," police wrote in the report. "Mr. Williams advised the three men were attempting to fight him, so he ran from the scene."

The report says Williams told police that Izishill Porch opened fire while chasing him.

Williams was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

The report said officers located Porch's son and the minor but not Porch.
