Four tons of dog food — or enough to feed the canines at the Little Rock Animal Village until October — were donated to the shelter Thursday, the city said.
The donation from PetSmart Charities came in on 11 pallets. More than $10,000 worth of dog food was donated to shelter last year, according to a news release.
The shelter, which is in its eighth year of operation, says it has taken in thousands of dogs and cats in that period.
