Richard Buckner will perform at 9 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Cover charge is $10.

Buckner, a singer-songwriter from California, lived in Edmonton, Alberta for a time before settling in Brooklyn. He released his debut album, Bloomed, in 1994; the latest of 11 more albums, Surrounded, came out in 2013.

In 2015, Buckner reissued The Hill to mark the 100th anniversary of Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology, creating songs about the lives of 18 characters.

School of Rock will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5.

Sabrina Carpenter performs at 8 p.m. Saturday at Magic Springs & Crystal Falls Water and Theme Park. Carpenter is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter and actress, with roles in Fox's The Goodwin Games and Disney Channel's Girl Meets World. Her debut album, Eyes Wide Open, came out in April 2015, with its follow-up, Smoke and Fire, in February.

Texas' Austin Chronicle named the band, led by pianist, singer and songwriter Charlie Pierce, "Best New Local Act" in 2015. Pierce's voice has drawn comparisons to Johnny Cash, Nick Cave and Tom Waits. Drummer Leland Potter has toured with Dale Watson, bassist Bob Cullen has played with Dr. John and George Thorogood, and multi-instrumentalist Jeffrey Barnes spent 31 years as a member of Brave Combo.

The group has released two albums, Deepwater Down and Nowhere.
