A man arrested Monday after an investigation by the 4th Judicial Drug Task Force had several forms of THC, cocaine, prescription cough syrup, "military issue body armor" and $15,680 in cash, according to a preliminary arrest report from the Fayetteville Police Department.

Erreck Griggs, 39, was arrested in connection with three counts of possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of body armor, according to the report and Washington County jail records.

The task force obtained a search warrant Monday for Griggs' residence, according to the preliminary report. Before the warrant was served, authorities stopped Griggs for driving left of center and smelled marijuana coming from his vehicle, the report stated.

Griggs was arrested after investigators found $580 in cash in his pocket and 6 grams of marijuana in his vehicle, the report stated.

Detectives then served the search warrant at Griggs' residence and found several baggies of cocaine totaling about 133 grams in hidden compartments, in addition to prescription cough syrup, THC oil, wax and "edibles," according to the report.

The body armor was found under Griggs' bed, the report stated.

The preliminary report lists the offenses and arrest as occurring in Fayetteville but does not specify where the search warrant was served. Jail records list a Farmington address for Griggs.

Griggs was being held Tuesday afternoon in the Washington County jail with no bond set.
