Arkansas Coach Mike Anderson and his staff have landed all three of the state's top prospects now that Little Rock Parkview guard Khalil Garland orally committed Saturday afternoon.

Garland, 6-6, 190 pounds, picked the Hogs over scholarship offers from LSU, Florida, Alabama, Connecticut, Memphis, Oregon, Texas A&M, California, UALR, Baylor and others.

He narrowed his list to the Hogs and UALR before selecting the Razorbacks

"I think the biggest things for me was the academic support, the fact that my mom and dad can come see me play, and that I think the three of us can do some great things on the Hill," Garland said.

Former Memphis coach Josh Pastner initially landed Garland's commitment at Memphis, but Garland decommitted after Pastner left for Georgia Tech after last season.

The Razorbacks' three-man class features two commitments in the ESPN top 100. Garland is rated the No. 13 small forward and No. 61 overall prospect, while El Dorado center Daniel Gafford, 6-11, 223, is rated the No. 10 center and No. 52 overall prospect.

Wingman Darious Hall, 6-7, 210, of Mills has been outstanding while playing for the Memphis Magic Elite this spring and summer and could challenge for a spot in the top 100.

Garland believes the class could help the Hogs get back among the nation's elite.

"Daniel just blocks everything he can get close to, and he and Day Day [Mills] just attack the goal," Garland said. "I think we are the top three players in Arkansas, and we can help get the Razorbacks back to where they need to be and used to be.

"I really like the coaching staff at Arkansas, and I think the program is going to be competing for championships very soon."

Garland attended the Lebron James Skills Academy earlier this summer -- which hosted the nation's top 80 high school players and top 20 college players in Las Vegas -- and will attend the Nike Elite Basketball Academy on July 25-27 in Los Angeles.

"I need to keep working on my shot, but I feel like I am a hard worker and I will keep getting better," Garland said. "I am happy I am going to be a Razorback."

The earliest a prospect can sign is during the early signing period in November. Oral commitments are nonbinding.
