Jason Lind, vice president of sales at Springdale-based JV. Manufacturing Inc./Cram-A-Lot, received the National Waste & Recycling Association’s 2015 Distinguished Service Award during the 48th annual Waste Expo Conference and Exhibition held in Las Vegas in June.
Ro Di Brezzo, University of Arkansas administrator and faculty member, was appointed to a one-year term as interim vice provost for diversity and inclusion. She will continue to serve as vice provost for faculty development and enhancement. The search for a permanent vice provost for diversity and inclusion will begin by the middle of the fall semester and a final decision will be made after a new provost has been chosen.
Jim Minor, Baldwin and Shell Construction Co.’s Northwest Arkansas vice president, was recently appointed to the Baldwin and Shell board of directors. He has worked for the company since 1994 and worked as a project coordinator, project manager and senior project manager.
Juanita Torres was promoted from administrative assistant to project assistant at Baldwin and Shell Construction Co.’s Northwest Arkansas division. She started with the company in 2015.
Roger Short was promoted from chief estimator to director of pre-construction at Baldwin and Shell Construction Co.’s Northwest Arkansas division. He worked for Baldwin from 1985-1987, 1996-1998 and 2015-present in several roles including project estimator and project manager.
Bianca Montoya, was hired as director of communications for Visit Bentonville. She has a degree in advertising and public relations from the University of Arkansas and worked in logistics with an in-house vendor at the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. home office.
