BLYTHEVILLE — Authorities say two people were found dead after a house fire in Blytheville.
Blytheville Fire Chief Mike Carney says 79-year-old Margaret Tomlinson and her son, 52-year-old Bill Tomlinson, were found dead after the Saturday morning fire. The house fire broke out while Blytheville firefighters were battling a separate blaze across town, so the Gosnell, Armorel and Dell fire departments provided support to fight both fires.
Carney tells the Blytheville Courier News that the house fire was apparently caused by a lit cigarette. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
