Police: Man riding stolen motorcycle fatally shot in Little Rock

A Little Rock man was fatally shot while riding a stolen motorcycle early Monday morning, police said.

Police initially received the call of a man down around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of 24th and Elm streets. Upon arrival, officers found the victim dead from at least one gunshot wound, police spokesman Lt. Steven McClanahan said.

It was the city's 18th homicide of 2016. McClanahan identified the victim as 22-year-old Mikhal Dalove Bailey.

McClanahan said the motorcycle Bailey was riding had been reported stolen out of Pulaski County. A police report listed the Yamaha registered to a man in North Little Rock.

Police have not made an arrest.

A witness at the scene told police she hear around 20 shots "from what sounded like three different guns," according to a police report.

The crime scene located at the corner of two narrow residential streets was empty after sunrise Monday morning. About a mile and a half away at Bailey's listed address, a group of people were gathered in front of the home, but his family did not wish to speak about the recent death.
