Man, 47, charged in Little Rock generator theft

Union Pacific Railroad employees caught three people trying to steal a generator from a railroad crossing in south Little Rock, leading authorities to arrest one suspect early Sunday morning and return the generator.

The railroad employees saw three people with a Dodge Ram truck try to take the generator from the South Chester Street railroad crossing's signal cabinet, according to a report.

The employees noted the truck's license plate number, which a special agent used to track down Raymond Douglas, according to the report. Douglas, 47, admitted to taking part in the theft, and he was arrested on theft and criminal trespassing charges.

Officers found the generator in the tree line near its original location, and they returned it to Union Pacific, according to the report.
