Pedestrian struck in hit-and-run in Little Rock, police say

Little Rock police said a pedestrian was hit by a car on Interstate 30 in the southwest part of the city.

The department said that the pedestrian was hit by a black car driven by a black woman at 8001 Interstate 30, which is just south of I-30 near the intersection of the frontage road and Stanton Road. The car left the scene.

Lt. Steve McClanahan, a police spokesman, said initial reports indicated the victim got up and rode away from the crash on a bicycle.

The department later wrote on Twitter that the victim had been located and had minor injuries, and McClanahan said the victim did not require medical attention.
