Premier Concepts pledges $1M for Arkansas Children's Northwest

Premier Concepts LLC pledged $1 million to the construction of Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale. The funds will be distributed over the next five years.

The Bentonville company providing nationwide sales, analytics, and merchandising services to the vendor community.

“For our team, Premier Concepts is more than a business, we are a family. As a company, and family, we feel led to give to a project that supports the 200,000 children in the greater northwest Arkansas area,” Darren Horton, Premier Concepts CEO, stated in a news release. "We also want to encourage other businesses to make a gift that’s meaningful to them. We believe together, our community can give back in a big way. Improving the health of children in northwest Arkansas is important.”

Area individuals and businesses have pledged $28.5 million so far for the construction of Arkansas Children’s Northwest.

In August 2015, Arkansas Children’s, Inc. announced plans to build a freestanding children’s hospital in Springdale on land donated by Robin and Gary George, Cathy and David Evans and their families. Plans for Arkansas Children’s Northwest include 233,613 square feet of inpatient beds, emergency care, diagnostic services and clinical space. The campus will also include walking trails, gardens and a helipad and refueling station.
