Volunteers sought for Ouachita panel

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Ouachita is seeking individuals who wish to serve on the Lake Ouachita Citizen Focus Committee.

The committee is a diverse group of people interested in preserving Lake Ouachita’s ecological integrity. Members participate in various volunteer programs that promote the lake’s established missions.

They also review local business practices, discretionary initiatives, operational standards and issues, and management initiatives. They then provide feedback from a consumer viewpoint.

An application should include applicant’s name, contact information, related personal experiences and a brief explanation of why you wish to serve.

Applications will be accepted through Aug. 5.
