LITTLE ROCK — Democrat Conner Eldridge reported raising $288,000 in the second quarter in his campaign for a U.S. Senate seat, about half of what was raised by incumbent U.S. Sen. John Boozman.

In a filing with the Federal Election Commission, Eldridge said he had $315,000 in cash June 30. Boozman reported raising $595,000 in the same period and ended the quarter with $2.1 million on hand.

Eldridge, a former federal prosecutor, also reported a campaign loan of $25,000.

Boozman, who was first elected in 2010, easily defeated North Little Rock businessman Curtis Coleman for the Republican nomination in this year's primary.
