Pulaski County authorities are looking for a teenager whose mother reported her missing Saturday.

In a news release, the sheriff’s office said it’s looking for 17-year-old Nichole McClendon, who hasn’t been seen since 11 a.m. Saturday.

McClendon is 5 feet 7, white, and has brown eyes and light brown hair with black on the ends, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. She also has a nose ring on the right side of her nose and was last seen wearing a blue and black striped shirt, black yoga pants and either blue flip-flops or white Puma tennis shoes, the sheriff’s office said.

McClendon had been staying at a friend’s house in Sherwood for about two weeks, according to a report. Her mother, Tracy Pond, reported her missing at 9:40 p.m. Saturday when she couldn’t find her at the house.

McClendon had been staying with her friend while Pond was between homes, police said.

According to the friend, McClendon had left and taken all her belongings before the friend woke up. She had no information on where McClendon might have gone.

Pond told deputies McClendon could have gone to a Seaton Road address in Cabot, the home of her half-brother’s grandmother. McClendon also might have gone to Pond’s ex-boyfriend’s house in Little Rock, Pond said.

Pond also told authorities McClendon could be somewhere in Austin, Ark., the release said.

Anyone with any information on McClendon’s disappearance is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at (501) 340-6622.
