Junior college defensive lineman Javier Edwards, who's committed to Florida, said he's working on setting up an official visit to Arkansas.

Edwards, 6-3, 350 pounds of Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, was recruited by defensive backs Coach Paul Rhoads, then the Iowa State coach, out of Houston Aldine Davis High School and was planning to sign with the Cyclones in 2015 if he qualified.

Tight end target Kedrick James, 6-6, 247, 4.81, of Waco (Texas) La Vega plans to visit Arkansas on Wednesday. He has scholarship offers from schools like Arkansas, Michigan, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Illinois, Miami and others. ESPN rates him the No. 272 overall prospect in the nation.

His grandmother, Dr. Charlene Johnson-Carter, is an associate professor at Arkansas and his uncle, Damani Carter is a fullback for the Hogs.
