Woman robbed at gunpoint in downtown Little Rock after couple claimed to have sick child

A woman was robbed at gunpoint outside a tattoo parlor in downtown Little Rock on Saturday, police reported.

Officers responded about 8:45 p.m. to 7th Street Tattoo and Body Piercing at 814 W. Seventh St. Andrea Harris, 34, said a man pulled up in a silver Chevrolet Impala, and a woman in the passenger seat asked to use her cellphone, according to a police report. The woman said she had a sick child at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Harris gave the woman her cellphone. The man then pulled a gun, took Harris' purse and cellphone and drove away, according to the report.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the Impala was last seen traveling south on Chester Street.

The robbers are both described as black. They both reportedly wore military-style caps. The man wore a gray shirt; the woman wore a tank top. More detailed descriptions were unavailable.
