More than $9,700 worth of tools stolen from Little Rock gas station

Authorities are searching for two people who stole thousands of dollars worth of tools from a Little Rock gas station and convenience store.

Police say video surveillance at the Broadway Food Mart, 1624 Broadway, showed two people inside taking items early Tuesday morning. The break-in was discovered when an employee showed up around 6:30 a.m.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, the worker found a back window of a storage area open and numerous items, including a hedge trimmer, a generator, a saw, a jackhammer and other assorted tools, missing. The report lists the items' estimated value at $9,700, though it also notes it is not a complete inventory of what was taken.

The gender and race of both burglars is listed as unknown in the report. One was said to stand about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weigh 160 pounds. That person was wearing a red ball cap, an olive green shirt, khaki pants and black shoes.

The other burglar was said to stand 5 feet 11 inches tall and weigh 185 pounds. That person was reportedly wearing a light gray T-shirt and blue jeans.
