It took a few tries to get the hang of using the Angurello Watermelon Slicer & Server but once we did, we fell in love. The stainless-steel slicer looks like a curved set of tongs but with the gripper ends connected by wire. The slicer cuts 1 1/2-inch thick wedges of melon flesh, while leaving the rind intact, so there's less mess. The slicer can also be used as serving tongs -- though the grip is limited to the width of a slice so you couldn't use the tool as tongs for many other foods.
