Little Rock ice cream shop robbed at gunpoint for 2nd time in 1 month

A gunman robbed a Little Rock ice cream shop Wednesday evening, marking the second time the store has been held up in less than a month.

Police say it happened about 10 p.m. at the Baskin Robbins at 10102 N. Rodney Parham Road, which is just east of Interstate 430.

Clerks at the store told investigators the man was armed with a semi-automatic pistol that he at one point put down on the counter. He demanded cash, telling the workers he didn't "want any problems." according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

At one point, the man became impatient, police wrote in the report, and leaned over the counter "to help pull money from the till."

The employees told police that they recognized the man from a previous robbery at the store and that he seemed to recognize them, the report said.

The same store was robbed June 28 and in April 2015, Arkansas Online's Little Rock crime map shows.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made.

The robber is described as a black man who stands about 6 feet tall and weighs 130 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants and a black mesh nylon mask over his face, the report said.
