Man robbed at gunpoint in parking lot of Little Rock store, police say

A man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday evening in the parking lot of a convenience store off 65th Street in Little Rock, authorities said.

The 27-year-old victim told investigators he was sitting in his vehicle about 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the 65th Street Stop and Shop at 65th Street and Butler Road when two men approached, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Police say one of the men had what appeared to be a police badge and the other one then pulled out a handgun and demanded cash.

After getting $200 from the victim, the two robbers fled north, the report said.

Officers searched the area, including a nearby apartment complex, but did not make an arrest.

The robbers are described as black men. One was said to be 17 to 20 years old, stand 6 feet tall and weigh 160 pounds. He was wearing a light burgundy shirt and cargo shorts. The other robber was reportedly in his early to mid-20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds. He was said to be wearing a dark shirt and dark pants.
