Man arrives home to robber inside

A Little Rock man walked inside his home Tuesday night and was robbed by an armed man, police reported.

Jose Giron, 37, said that when he returned home about 9:50 p.m. at 2517 Jefferson St., a man with a gun was inside according to a police report. The intruder demanded money and asked Giron about a security box in the home. Giron gave about $280 to the robber, who told him not call the police. The robber then fled.

No injuries were reported.

Giron told police he noticed his front door was unlocked when he arrived home, according to the report.

The robber is described as black, 6-foot-5, weighing 170 pounds and between the ages of 35 and 40. He wore a glove with spikes and strips of metal on one of his hands.
