Police: 2 arrested in string of robberies in central Arkansas

North Little Rock police Wednesday arrested two suspects connected to a string of robberies over the past several weeks, according to a press release from the department.

Leonard Scott, 26, of Little Rock and Ebony King, 31, of North Little Rock are accused of multiple robberies in the Little Rock and North Little Rock area, according to the release. North Little Rock detectives expect the arrest of a third suspect in the next few days, police said.

According to the release, Scott and King would drive around and approach people, asking to use their cellphone. Scott would show a gun and demand money and the phones, according to the release, then the two would flee the scene.

Police charged Scott with six counts of aggravated robbery and five counts of theft of property, according to the release. King faces two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of theft of property, according to the release.

King was listed on Pulaski County jail's inmate roster Wednesday night, while Scott was not.
