Tire-iron blow said to avenge daughter in Little Rock

A 40-year-old Maumelle woman followed a man she accused of sexually assaulting her daughter and confronted him with the swing of a tire iron to the head, according to a police report.

The woman was arrested at 2700 S. Shackleford Road around 6 p.m. Wednesday after she followed the man from his work and struck his vehicle two to three times with her vehicle, police said.

Then police said she exited her vehicle and struck the victim several times with a tire iron, hitting him once in the head.

The woman was charged with one count of second-degree battery and one count of aggravated assault, according to a report.

The police report does not detail the sexual-assault allegation or whether an arrest was made in that regard. The man was not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster Thursday night.
