Woman hospitalized after stabbing incident Saturday; injuries not life threatening

A stabbing incident Saturday morning in Little Rock led to a woman being taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

Officer Richard Hilgeman, a spokesman for Little Rock police, said the unnamed woman was hurt sometime around 10:50 a.m. at 2101 Battery St. in Little Rock. He added that circumstances surrounding the incident were unclear.

No arrests were made. Hilgeman said there was no crime scene and that no detectives were dispatched to investigate. He added that police are determining if it was a criminal act or if the wounds were somehow self-inflicted.

Hilgeman said more information would be made available Monday.
