The Drillers had a chance to tie it in the bottom of the ninth. After Jacob Scavuzzo popped out, Edwin Rios singled off Travelers' reliever Tyler DeLoach. Rios was replaced by pinch runner Jordan Tarsovich, who moved to second on a Briceno passed ball. After a walk to Joey Curletta, Briceno was charged with another passed ball that allowed Tarsovich and Curletta to move to second and third before DeLoach struck out Tim Locastro and Willie Calhoun to end the game.

Tulsa tied the game 2-2 in the eighth inning when Kyle Garlick singled through the hole at second with two outs to score Willie Calhoun, who reached on a fielder's choice.

Tulsa took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Calhoun doubled in Locastro, but Arkansas tied the game in the second when Eric Aguilera hit a home run to right to lead off the second. The Travelers took the lead in the fifth when Phillips reached on a fielder's choice that scored Way.

Chris O'Grady (3-1) pitched four innings in relief of Victor Alcantara to get the victory before DeLoach recorded his third save. Chris Anderson (3-5) took the loss, allowing the winning run in the ninth.
