A pair of former Razorbacks are on the 2017 College Football Hall of Fame ballot released Wednesday.

Danny Ford, who coached at Arkansas from 1993-1997, is one of six FBS coaches on the ballot, while Dan Hampton, an all-American defensive tackle at Arkansas, is one of 75 FBS players up for induction.

This is the fourth consecutive year Ford has appeared on the ballot.

In five seasons as the Razorbacks' head coach, Ford was 26-30-1. His only winning season came in 1995, when Arkansas went 8-5 and earned the program's first ever division championship in the Southeastern Conference.

Ford is most remembered for his time at Clemson, where he led the Tigers to the 1981 National Championship and compiled a 96-29-4 record in 12 seasons.

Although Hampton is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, this is his first appearance on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot.

Before his 12-year NFL career, Hampton was a two-time all-Southwest Conference and 1978 first-team all-America selection at Arkansas.

He led the Razorbacks to an upset win over Oklahoma in the 1978 Orange Bowl and made 239 tackles during his career.

The Chicago Bears selected him with the fourth overall pick in the 1979 NFL Draft, which is tied for the third-highest draft selection in UA history. Hampton was a part of the famous 1985 Bears defense, which helped Chicago win Super Bowl XX.

Others on this year's ballot include running back Eric Dickerson (SMU), linebacker Ray Lewis (Miami), quarterback Payton Manning (Tennessee) and head coach Steve Spurrier (Florida, South Carolina).

The 2017 class will be announced Jan. 6, 2017, in Tampa, Florida, three days before the College Football Playoff National Championship game. It will be inducted on Dec. 5, 2017, in New York City.
