Shot at carwash, Little Rock woman tells police

Little Rock police are investigating a shooting that injured one person Sunday.

Officers responded at 10:53 a.m. to UAMS Medical Center, where Leatha Turner, 61, was being treated for gunshot wounds on her left hand and right arm, according to a police report. Her injuries were nonlife-threatening.

Turner said she was at a carwash at Kanis and John Barrow roads when a someone approached and began firing at her, according to the report. The shooter then fled, and Turner drove to the hospital.

Police said Turner was not cooperative with investigators and could not provide a description of the shooter.

No arrests had been made Monday.
