1 WINDFALL

Jason Alexander directs the world premiere of Windfall at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, through June 26. Written by Scooter Pietsch, the play tells the story of four co-workers, their maniacal boss and the havoc wrought by the lottery. A pre-show director talk, followed by the final preview performance, starts at 6:15 p.m. today. Opening night is Friday, with a champagne reception and cast meet and greet. The 58th annual Delta Exhibition -- 52 artworks by 30 artists, representing nine states that juror Elizabeth K. Garvey selected out of 1,038 entries by 457 artists -- goes on display Friday at the Arkansas Arts Center in MacArthur Park, East Ninth and Commerce streets, Little Rock. Winners of a $2,500 Grand Award and two $750 Delta Awards will be announced at a reception and exhibition preview today. • Historic Arkansas Museum, 200 E. Conway will be consumed by romance, Bard-style, as the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre begins it 2016 season. This year's lineup focuses on the romantic side of Shakespeare with A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night and the musical West Side Story. It starts with Midsummer, 7:30 p.m. Friday and continues through July 9. All performances, except for a few traveling performances of Night, are at the University of Central Arkansas.
