A pair of current Arkansas players and a signee came off the board on the second day of the 2016 MLB Draft.
Cole Stobbe, a signee from Omaha, Neb., and Zach Jackson, a right-handed pitcher, were picked in the third round, while outfielder Clark Eagan was a ninth-round selection.
Stobbe, an infielder, was the first pick of the second day of the draft, going 78th overall to the Philadelphia Phillies. That slot has a $813,500 signing bonus value, according to MLB.com.
As a senior, Stobbe hit .437 with 14 home runs and 43 RBIs, earning Nebraska Gatorade player of the year honors.
He is the second Arkansas signee to be taken in the draft, joining catcher Ben Rortvedt, who was a second-round pick Thursday.
Jackson was picked by the Toronto Blue Jays with the 102nd overall selection, which has a $585,100 signing bonus value. He is expected to forgo his final season at Arkansas and sign professionally.
Despite coming into the year with high expectations, Jackson struggled in his final season with the Razorbacks, in which he was used as a starter and reliever. In 17 appearances, he posted a 3-4 record with four saves, a 4.76 ERA, 63 strikeouts and 39 walks in 51 innings.
Jackson was much better his first two years at Arkansas, when he was primarily used as a reliever and closer. In 102 2/3 innings, he was 7-4 with 11 saves, a 2.28 ERA and 131 strikeouts.
As a sophomore, when he posted a 2.10 ERA with nine saves, Jackson was a first-team all-SEC selection by the conference's coaches.
Eagan was taken with the 285th overall pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates. That slot has a $162,000 signing bonus value.
During his junior season with the Razorbacks, he hit .298 with seven home runs and 37 RBIs while playing center field, third base and first base.
Jackson and Eagan are Arkansas' 79th and 80th players drafted since 2003, when Dave Van Horn became the head coach. The Razorbacks have had at least one player selected in every draft since 1975.
Rounds 3-10 of the MLB Draft are Friday and it will end Saturday with rounds 11-40.
The MLB signing deadline is July 15.
