WHAT: Skinny Cow Fully Dipped Sandwiches
STATS: Vary slightly by flavor. One Vanilla Bean Dream sandwich, for example, contains 180 calories and 9 fat, 22 carbohydrate, 2 fiber, 12 sugar and 3 protein grams. We found them (sold in boxes of six) at Kroger, 8415 W. Markham St., Little Rock. More information at skinnycow.com.
THE SKINNY: We’re udderly fond of Skinny Cow ice cream novelties (not to be confused with Laughing Cow cheese, another favorite bovine we wrote about last week).
These new individually wrapped low-fat ice cream sandwiches, available in three sweet flavors (Vanilla Bean, Creamy Caramel and Ultimate Chocolate), come cloaked in chocolate coating. They’re smaller and more caloric than the regular sandwiches (140-150 calories; available in Cookies ’n Cream, Mint, Vanilla, Chocolate, Snickerdoodle and No Sugar Added Vanilla), but “cloaked in chocolate” always wins.
Other Skinny Cow delights include cones (Vanilla with Caramel, Chocolate Mousse Ganache and Chocolate Mint Ganache), bars (Double Caramel Swirl, Triple Chocolate Ripple, Chocolate Truffle, Fudge) and frozen candy bars (Mochaccino and Salted Caramel Pretzel).
