Three people died in traffic crashes across Arkansas over the weekend, according to preliminary reports from the Arkansas State Police released earlier this week.
A crash Sunday on U.S. 270 in Garland County left two dead and two injured, according to a report.
John Collum, 32, of Mena and Maribel Bovadilla, 24, of Lowell died when their vehicle crossed the centerline on U.S. 270 and struck a 2013 Chevrolet SUV traveling in the opposite lane, police said.
Jimmie McKissack, 79, who was driving the SUV, and his passenger, Christine McKissack, 50, were injured.
A Pottsville man died Sunday from injuries he received in a motorcycle crash in Garland County the day before, according to a report.
Timothy Alan Tanner, 32, on Saturday was driving a Kawasaki south on Arkansas 7 when he ran off the highway in a curve, police said. Tanner went down an embankment and crashed into several trees, police said.
Tanner was taken to UAMS Medical Center where he died Sunday, police said.
