Terry Hamilton, 16, (left) and Antonio Griffin, 19, were charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property in connection with the hold-up of a Simmons Bank in west Little Rock Tuesday.

Police canvassing an area of west Little Rock after a Tuesday morning bank robbery arrested two teenagers after spotting the suspected getaway car parked less than 1 mile away, a spokesman said.

Two people were seen fleeing in a white Chevrolet Impala after holding up the Simmons Bank branch at 23816 Chenal Parkway about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Department spokesman Lt. Steven McClanahan said Wednesday that it took officers a short time to locate the Impala at an apartment complex also on Chenal, where they arrested two teens.

Authorities charged Terry Hamilton, 16, and Antonio Griffin, 19, with two counts of aggravated robbery and theft of property each.

Both were listed as living at the apartment where they were arrested. McClanahan said police found evidence of the robbery at the home.

Jail records show Griffin's bail was set at $50,000, and Hamilton's was set at $25,000.

Both were listed on the Pulaski County jail roster Wednesday morning.
