Former Texas OL to transfer to Arkansas

Former Texas offensive lineman Jake Raulerson announced his plans to transfer to Arkansas via Twitter on Thursday morning.

Since he has graduated, he will have immediate eligibility. He also has two years of eligibility remaining.

Raulerson, 6-5, 295 pounds, also considered Michigan, Stanford, North Carolina, SMU and others. He had planned to attend UCLA, but he wasn't accepted into the Bruins' business school.

He made an official visit to Fayetteville last week and plans to report Sunday.

Raulerson played in 12 games and was a starter in five as a redshirt freshman, including the Texas Bowl when Arkansas routed Texas 31-7. He saw limited action last season, but he was expected to be the starting center this fall.

ESPN rated him the No. 9 offensive tackle and No. 113 overall prospect as a senior at Celina (Texas) High School in 2013. He announced plans to be a graduate transfer and pursue his master's in business.
