WASHINGTON COUNTY

Caudle Avenue Baptist Church in Springdale, 404 Caudle Ave., hosts a block party beginning at 4 p.m. today. The party includes a bounce castle, games, treats and a free meal at 5 p.m.

During the party, children who have finished grades kindergarten to sixth can register for vacation Bible school, scheduled for 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 17-22.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, 225 N. East Ave., participates today in the 10th annual Fayetteville Pride Parade. Members will gather at the corner of Spring Street and East Avenue, and the parade begins at 11 a.m. The church members welcome any who wish to walk with them.

Elm Springs United Methodist Church, 118 N. Elm St., presents “Surf Shack” vacation Bible camp from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 18-22. The camp is for children in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade.

First United Methodist Church in Springdale, 206 W. Johnson Ave., hosts its 15th annual Local Mission Project for youth Sunday to Friday. Church youths work with area agencies to assist low-income families in need of wheelchairs ramps and home repair. Worship and special activities are planned for the weekend.

Youth groups from Rogers, Prescott, Searcy and Stuttgart also participate.

BENTON COUNTY

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., serves a potluck fellowship dinner at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. After the meal, a representative of Gideons International will speak about their work.

Bella Vista Presbyterian Church, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., sponsors the Men’s Fellowship for breakfast and a program at 8 a.m. today in the fellowship hall. Cost is $5, plus a canned food item for Helping Hands.

The church collects kids’ snacks this summer to be distributed by Helping Hands. Suggested items include granola bars, peanut butter and cheese crackers and single-serve portions of fruit cups, macaroni, ravioli, soup, etc.

Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, 2535 W. New Hope Road, will host students in the Ozark Mission Project from July 10-16. The youth will serve in the community, completing yard work, making home repairs, building wheelchair ramps and more. The church accepts applications for projects until July 1.

More than 60 youth from the church will have worked this summer in Hot Springs, Pine Bluff and Jonesboro.

The church plans a rummage and bake sale June 25 to support a mission trip to Guatemala.

New Life Christian Church in Bella Vista, 103 Riordan Road, celebrates Father’s Day with a special gifts for all men at the service Sunday.

The church added Jonathan Moore to the staff as worship pastor. Formerly, he was a member of the Christian band Bethesda.

The church offers Summer XP “Walk This Way” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 26-30. The vacation Bible school is open for children age 3 to sixth-graders.

Jehovah’s Witnesses from across Arkansas gather for three weekends during July 1-17 at the Fort Smith Convention Center, 55 S. Seventh St., for three conventions, with the theme “Remain Loyal to Jehovah.”

The July 1-3 convention will be presented in English, with July 9-10 and July 16-17 presented in Spanish. Other conventions are planned for Little Rock and Hot Springs. The program will include video segments, short films and music videos. Convention attendance is free.
