Alexandra Michelle Wise became the bride of Thomas J. Ehlers at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, in The Inn at Carnall Hall at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Andrew Wise, brother of the bride, officiated.
Marcia and Timothy Wise of Alma are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Chloe and Joe Kirksey of Fort Smith and Claudine Wimberly of Brandon, Fla.
The bridegroom is the son of Peggy and James Ehlers of Hazelwood, Mo. He is the grandson of Zita and the late Ted Nenninger, also of Hazelwood, and Ginny and Fred Ehlers of St. Louis.
The hall was decorated with arrangements of blush and ivory peonies and garden roses with white anemones and olive leaves. Music was by Joshua Wise, also a brother of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ombre ivory to sherbet organza ballgown with a ruffled chapel-length skirt and strapless sweetheart bodice embellished with crystals. She carried a bouquet of peonies, garden roses and anemones.
Matron of honor was Elena Perry of Little Rock. Kelsey Freeland of Oxford, Miss., cousin of the bride, was a bridesmaid. They wore Bellini-colored chiffon gowns with sweetheart necklines and carried white and blush rose petals.
Flower girl was Lauren Kirksey of Bentonville and ring bearers were Rhett Kirksey and Jude Kirksey of Fayetteville, all cousins of the bride.
Nick Ehlers of St. Louis served as his brother's best man. Evan Cox of Fayetteville was a groomsman. Guests were seated by Michael Ferren of Little Rock and Allen Freeland of Chase, Kan., cousin of the bride.
A reception, also at the inn, followed the ceremony.
The bride has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and is a medical student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in architecture from UA and is an architectural draftsman at Lewis Architects and Engineers.
The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii.
