Police investigate possible arson in Rogers after pickup burns

ROGERS — Police are investigating a possible vehicle arson Sunday morning on North 35th Street, according to Keith Foster, Rogers Police Department spokesman.

The Rogers Fire Department went to a reported vehicle fire about 8:03 a.m. Sunday at 609 N. 35th St. and found the blaze already extinguished by the homeowner, according to the dispatch log.

The owner told firefighters that he came outside to find his 2016 Dodge Ram on fire. According to the log, the pickup’s back window was broken, the doors were open and cloth-like material was in the gas tank opening. The gas cap was on the ground.

The owner told firefighters that he did not leave the pickup’s doors open and the window wasn’t broken the last time he saw the vehicle, according to the log.
