Arkansas State Police said troopers were investigating an "apparent homicide" after a man's body was discovered Wednesday.
The agency said in a news release that the body was found in southeast Johnson County near the Pope County line.
The man has not yet been identified.
Police said the body would be sent to the state Crime Laboratory to determine the manner and cause of death.
